Today, we had a nice little delivery. A young girl called Sandy had knitted, with the help of her nana, a teddy. Not only this, though, but she sent it into us with some thank you cards.
The cards weren’t for providing Sandy with wonderful music to listen to all day, but they were for coming to her school on our road show and putting on “such a good show”. Here’s what Sandy had to say:
“Thank you for coming to my school and putting up the bouncy castle. I really enjoyed day. You put on such a good show.”
Thank you for your letter and teddy Sandy – the teddy is now our station’s mascot!
Oh… and the song of the day today was… Blur – Park Life.

Today, we said goodbye to our old chairs. It was a sad moment for all presenters, but the chairs were looking a little worse for wear!
In their place, however, came a selection of new luxury chairs ready for our use. And let me tell you now, it’s like being sat on an upright piece of heaven.
These chairs are sublime, they are comfy, and they make playing the songs you want to hear more and more enjoyable!
Enough about the new chairs… what was the song of the day I hear you cry? Today’s song of the day was… drum roll please….
Live and Let Die – Paul McCartney (Paul & Wings).

Well, today’s track of the day hasn’t been decided yet… as the vote is tied. The two songs that are fighting it out are Queen – Don’t Stop Me Now, and Whitesnake – Here I go Again.
Tune in right now and vote for which song you would like to be crowned our song of the day!
In other news… today we took our show on the road and actually broadcast our tunes from Steve Bishop’s living room! We took along some snacks and drinks and had a good old fashioned disco! Thanks for your hospitality Steve!
See you all tomorrow for another exciting show… remember to tune in now and vote for the song of the day!

Another day, another dollar… as they say!
Today was monumental… we managed to raise almost £4,000 for our selected charity in just one day!
We were out on the road, knocking on doors and had an army of volunteers helping us out. Buckets galore, we headed into town to collect donations… and aren’t you all friendly generous bunch! £3,872 in one day. That is incredible.
Of course, we have had some buckets placed in the local shops all week, but the majority of this money was collected today.
Today’s track of the day, with a huge 90% of your vote was The Beach Boys – I Get Around.

Good evening to you all! And what a day today has been…
We started off with our competition draw, and lucky Mr. Spencer won a brand new £1,000 kitchen courtesy of several local companies. Not only this, but later on, we had a mystery guest on the show… and the first person to guess who it was based on the clues we gave, and their voice, will win themselves a pair of tickets to see Guns’n'Roses at Leeds Festival this year!
Well, that’s about it… the rest of the day involved a humorous conversation between our callers, and the song of the day was Oasis (again) – Don’t Look Back in Anger.

Howdy listeners! How are we all today?
Thanks to those of you who decided to follow us on our FaceBook page… we really appreciate your ongoing support.
Today was a pretty normal day for everyone here at Tone Radio, but there was one thing that stuck out.
Yep… those of you who listened between 3 and 4 will know. We helped one worried resident find her lost dog! We launched a massive (local) appeal, and within 40 minutes, her lost dog was found. She has extended her thanks to everyone at the station – as well as you, the listeners.
On a small final note, today’s song of the day was Oasis – Wonderwall, which received 57% of the vote.

Thanks for joining us again guys! We’ve discussed this behind the scenes, and we’ve decided that our blog posts are going to take a different format from now on.
Basically, they’re going to summarise any ‘major’ happenings throughout the day, then we’ll finish with our listeners’ – that’s you – pick of the day… which is basically the song that gets the most votes during a one-hour period on our live show.
Today’s song of the day, picked between 2 and 3 pm was Arctic Monkeys – I bet you look good on the dance floor, and that received 72% of the vote.

In our latest competition, we’re giving you the chance to get your hands on an amazing family holiday to Dubai. Just listen to our show at 5pm every day and keep your ears peeled for our cue to call.
As soon as you here the cue to call (Madonna’s Vogue)… get on the phone. We’re not going to tell you when it will be played, so you’ll have to listen out every day next week!
You’ll have to answer 3 questions if you get through to us… get them right and the holiday is yours!
Good luck to all of you, and we’re really looking forward to speaking to the winner late next week!

Hi everyone! Thanks to all of you guys who tuned in today – what a great show we had too!
To start off with, we took you through the papers… and we didn’t get much further than that because one certain topic of conversation stuck with us all day.
And that was about (not naming any names) the lady who just keeps having kids. She’s up to her 10th child now… and plans to continue going on.
OK, you’ve got to love her commitment, but the fact that the tax you’re paying is going towards her life – we asked you how you felt.
And my oh my… your responses came in thick and fast! The discussion is still going on now – join us and join in!
